Greatest Asset

I am beginning to warm to Obama after his State of the Union speech. I just realized he has advanced the concept of conservatism incalculably and is the single greatest asset of the Republican Party.

Big Dividends

Mr. Obama's inadvertent and undeclared war on violent crime is paying some big dividends. The dramatic increase in armed householders, which he initiated, daily cleanses the criminal element of it's more violent and stupid practitioners. When complete, perhaps we can finally concentrate on white collar criminals like congress and the administration.

Fashionable Fraud

Fraud wasn't so fashionable until congress in effect legalized it by failure to investigate it, the Attorney General enhanced its popularity by failure to prosecute it and the administration promoted it by its refusal to recognize it.

Rebuttal

The State of the Union Speech was exactly what I suspected it would be; 7,234 words of "CMA", finger pointing, tossed bones, empty promises, improbable outcomes, the word "I" 96 times and...uh, it's Bush's fault. VA Governor McDonnell provided more reasonable and viable problem solutions, realistic leadership positions and substance in the 1,318 word rebuttal.

State of the Union

Tune in the State of the Union Speech? I think not. Smoke makes me cough and mirrors annoy me. I have had my fill of teleprompted tarradiddles, flowery flatulence and just plain damned lies from this font of fascism and foolishness. What words of interest could this bastion of broken promises have to say except "I resign?"

Horse Trading

Congressmen and women should not engage in "horse trading" to get what they want. It is unseemly for one end of the horse to sell the other.

Chris Matthews' Leg

Scott Brown won the senate race in Massachusetts against incredible odds... and Chris Matthews' leg fell clean off....

Tiger Woods

God bless Tiger Woods. He has given America the opportunity to laugh at his expense and made it possible for the deviant media to continue to avoid reporting substantive news.

Old Dogs

One thing I have learned is that old dogs do not adhere to human whims any more than old people adhere to the whims of the younger generation. The only difference is that old dogs have limited ways to show annoyance. It is advisable for humans, young and old, to watch where they step around an old dog. The same is true for politicians around old folks.

Launch the Drones and Satellites?

Must the people of America launch drones in the Oval Office and orbit spy satellites in all congressional chambers to know what this, The Most Transparent Government Ever, is planning behind closed doors to do to them, the economy, their way of life and their future?

No Energy Crisis

If congress and the administration would reveal the secret of how they run elections and pass legislation with hot air and bullshit there would be no energy crisis. They generate enough for America with plenty left over to sell.

Horse Mackerel

Over in Asia, they call a horse's tail dock a "mackerel" and they like to eat it boiled. That's why you see so much of their ancient artwork depicting tail-less horses. Hmmmmm...maybe we can work out a deal with China. There is no shortage of horse's asses in DC and many of them are for sale.

Who Is The Servant?

It appears that, while people lying to the government is a serious felony, the government lying to the people isn't even a misdemeanor or a matter for our concern. The government can conspire against the people behind closed doors with impunity, but they want to know every move we make and every thought we think. What is wrong with this picture? Who is the servant and who is the master according to the Constitution and Bill of Rights?

The Crucible.

America was fired in a crucible of pain and suffering and forged by God into a nation of laws and freedom. In our founding documents, wise men gave substance to this new concept of freedom guaranteed by law and by so doing, signed both their names and their death warrants.

I weep at today's state enabled ignorance of our history and tolerance for mediocrity that has allowed many of the people to be robbed of their dignity and many others their decency. Instead of being anchored in the bedrock of the Constitution and Bill of Rights we are afloat on a tumultuous sea of fiat currency worth only the paper on which it is printed while the ship of state is steered by the whim of small people bereft of patriotism, corrupted by greed and power and beholding to those entities that fund their tenure at the peril of the nation and the expense of the people. Gone are the statesmen capable and willing to steer the ship of state away from the rocks of self serving legislation and the shoals of ever expanding government usurpation of our rights and freedoms.

I was shocked to learn that congress was passing legislation and the administration was signing it into law without reading it, then I realized how foolish I was to be disturbed. Congress and the administration took a solemn oath to support and defend the Constitution of the United States, a document many of them had not studied, were not familiar with or, apparently, had not even read judging from their public comments.

American men and women have frequently and valiantly fought for the freedom of others and still fight to this day on foreign soil for the freedom of former(?) enemies while we at home do little more than whine and cry out for justice instead of mustering the courage and unity to enforce it as is our inalienable right.

Two hundred and thirty-four years ago Americans stood against a powerful, oppressive, unresponsive and overreaching government and declared their independence to King George III. They backed that declaration with their personal treasure, their courage, their blood and their lives that their children and their children’s children for generations to come could live free in a just society.

In view of their great sacrifice, what right, what possible excuse do we have to pass on massive debt, penury and government contrived servitude, of which we almost all disapprove, to our children and their children’s children for generations to come? Have we become unworthy to call ourselves Americans?

From The Rubble

Our children will have to rebuild America from the rubble caused by those who are woefully ignorant of the founding of this country and have a cavalier attitude towards the documents that forged it. Maybe they will understand that it is wise to limit congress and the administration to two terms to minimize corruption and ensure every state has a recall system for those unable to wield the power of the people wisely and impartially.

Most Transparent

So far, the only things transparent in this "Most Transparent" congress and administration is the lack of respect for the Constitution, an absence of moral values, a total lack of character and patriotism, incredible ineptitude and self serving legislation, an abundance of greed and disdain for the electorate and a morbid fear of truth.
