Human Survival

Human survival depends on a host of agricultural, engineering, scientific and educational skills not on athletic prowess, musical talent or thespian ability. Even the garbage collector is more necessary than the actor, singer or sports figure. Why do we heap the greatest wealth and esteem on those we need the least?
