Catch and Release

Washington just can't seem to get a handle on illegal immigration and the havoc it is wreaking on the states. This is understandable as the problem is distant and does not affect the beltway. The administration has publicly announced they won't deal with the problem and Homeland Security says no problem exists and the borders are secure. The obvious answer to this conundrum is, if Washington can't come to the problem, send the problem to Washington. If illegals have all the rights ascribed by the Administration, one of those rights must surely be to visit the nation's capitol and express their gratitude in person. The ineffective catch and release program preferred by Washington should be embraced, though slightly modified, by the states. Each and every state should contract with a tour bus company and transport all captured illegals non-stop to DC and release them at all the premiere tourists debarkation points; across from the White House, the Capitol Building, the Congressional Office Buildings and the Mall to name but a few. A few thousand buses daily from all across the nation hourly releasing their "catch" of tens of thousands of illegals within the beltway will move the problem to where it may get even this Congress' attention. I think the states might find this a much cheaper solution in the long run. Buses and bag lunches just aren't that expensive compared to the current alternative. It would certainly be a much more satisfying solution.
