The welfare mentality exists because government "entitles" some to live off the labor of others. If some are entitled to the wealth of others, then why not their property? If they are entitled to the wealth and property of others, then why not their lives as well to get it? The logical progression of the welfare "utopia" was seen in New Orleans after Katrina.
